Your first month on NAD+: what to expect

Here's what happens from the day you're approved through your first monthly check-in.

Before it ships

  1. Health quiz and physician review. A licensed California physician reviews your answers before anything is prescribed.
  2. Made to order. If you're approved, your 1000 mg NAD+ vial is prepared by a LegitScript-certified 503A compounding pharmacy and shipped cold to your door.

When it arrives

Your vial comes by free FedEx 2-day shipping in an insulated, ice-packed mailer, along with your injection supplies.

  • Put the vial in the refrigerator when you unpack it. Keep it there when you're not using it.
  • If you're traveling, it can stay at room temperature for short periods without affecting potency.
  • Each vial is good for 28 days after you first open it. It helps to write the date on the box or in your phone.

Your injections

NAD+ is a small injection just under the skin (subcutaneous). The usual schedule is 30 units (0.3 mL), 3–4 times per week, using the included syringes. Always follow the directions your provider gives you.

A few tips that make it easier:

  • Pick your days and stick to them, for example Monday, Wednesday, Friday.
  • Change the injection spot each time. It helps prevent irritation.
  • Drink plenty of water, stay active, and get enough sleep.

What you might notice

The most common side effect is irritation, redness, or soreness where you inject. Some people also notice brief flushing, warmth, a faster heartbeat, chest tightness, or shortness of breath for a few minutes after an injection. These effects usually pass on their own.

If irritation continues, contact us. If symptoms are severe or don't go away, seek medical care right away and let us know.

Everyone's experience is different. Some people notice changes early, others more gradually, and some notice little.

Your monthly check-in

About a month after you start, we'll check in to see how you're doing. It's how we make sure the program is working well for you. If something can't wait, please seek medical care.

Your next vial

If you're on the monthly plan, a fresh vial ships after each monthly charge, so you're ready before the first one runs out. Need to pause or change your plan? Contact support@nadforwellness.com before your next charge.
